Brady Davis Records Two Solo Videos at GSI
We recently had a chance to record classical guitarist Brady Davis performing two pieces in our showroom. Originally from Las Vegas, Brady is currently a student at the USC Thornton School of Music, and very recently we featured him in our first-ever live-streamed masterclass with Pepe Romero.
In his first video, Brady performs Tilman Hoppstock’s arrangement of the Allemande from Dietrich Buxtehude’s Suite in E Minor, BuxWV 236. He recorded this work on a 1999 Ignacio Rozas guitar built with a spruce soundboard and maple back and sides—an instrument well suited to the clarity and poise of this Baroque selection.
The second video marks a special highlight: the world premiere of Embolada, a new piece written for Brady by João Luiz. He recorded this premiere on a 2025 Moonseok Choi guitar featuring a cedar top and African rosewood back and sides, a pairing that brings warmth and color to this vibrant work.
We’re glad to share these performances and to showcase both Brady’s playing and the instruments behind it.
