New Guitar by Spanish Luthier Carlos Juan Busquiel
A new guitar from Carlos Juan Busquiel is set to arrive soon at our store. Carlos is a skilled luthier based in Petrer, Alicante, Spain. His approach to guitar making is informed by his study of instruments from renowned makers such as Vicente Arias, José and Manuel Ramírez, Santos Hernández, Enrique García, Francisco Simplicio, and others. This exposure has significantly influenced the development of his personal style.
This latest guitar is already completed, and we’ve received sneak peek photos documenting its construction process. It features a cedar top paired with African rosewood for the back and sides. These materials, combined with Carlos’ craftsmanship, result in an instrument that reflects his dedication to quality and tradition.
The rosette design incorporates elements inspired by Enrique García, including a central mosaic complemented by herringbone and purfling details. All of these features are very carefully executed, highlighting Carlos’ precision and attention to details.
