Sneak Peek: A Classical Guitar by Colin Van Aelbrouck is coming soon to GSI!

We’re happy to share a sneak peek at a new classical guitar currently on its way to GSI, built by Belgian luthier Colin van Aelbrouck.

We met Colin at the sixth Antonio Marín Montero Guitar Building Competition in Granada, Spain, where his work received exceptional recognition: second prize in the classical guitar category and first prize in the flamenco guitar category.

The instrument headed to GSI is a classical guitar inspired by a 1963 Miguel Rodríguez guitar (check out photos of the original guitar on the bottom of this article). Like the original, Colin's guitar features flamed maple back and sides. The soundboard is made of a Swiss spruce.

We look forward to sharing more details, photos, and sound impressions once the guitar arrives at GSI.
