Coming Soon: A New Dominique Field Classical Guitar in Spruce and CSA Rosewood
We are excited to share a first look at a new classical guitar from Dominique Field, on its way to GSI soon. Built with a spruce top and CSA rosewood back and sides, it pairs the woods Field has favored in many of his most celebrated instruments.
Dominique Field is widely regarded as the leading maker of the French school of guitar making today, a lineage that runs from Lacote through Robert Bouchet and Daniel Friederich. His instruments are known for a rare combination of refinement and power, with a wide tonal palette, exceptional dynamic range, and a mirror-like French polish. Over many years, Field has also developed his own bracing system for the back and sides, which firmly stiffens the body and contributes to the clarity, punch, and expressive range his guitars are known for.
