Cypress in Classical Guitar Making

In our newest short YouTube video, GSI’s David Collett and Patrick Schettler share insights into the use of cypress in classical guitar construction. Prompted by the arrival of a new shipment of La Cañada guitars—many of which feature cypress back and sides—they discuss the unique tonal and structural qualities of this wood and its historical significance in the world of guitar making.
