After earning her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in guitar performance and composition at the University of Texas at San Antonio, she continued her musical journey in Los Angeles, where she completed a Doctor of Musical Arts in Classical Guitar Performance degree at the USC Thornton School of Music. Her work has been featured in several video recordings on the GSI YouTube channel, highlighting her expressive playing and technical mastery.

What truly sets Ashley apart, though, is her commitment to building a vibrant local guitar community. She’s not just teaching — she’s creating experiences for students to grow together. In our showroom at GSI, Ashley regularly organizes student recitals, giving her students the opportunity to perform in a professional yet friendly setting.
