Classical Guitarist Marc Teicholz Records Solo and Duo Videos
Recently, we had the pleasure of publishing two videos on our channel recorded by Marc Teicholz. Marc stopped by GSI to record a duet with his former student and our GSI Foundation scholar, Juri Yun. Together, they performed Juri's arrangement of "Fugue in A Minor, BWV 543" by Johann Sebastian Bach on a 2023 German Vazquez Rubio "Concert 635" SP/MP guitar and an instrument previously owned by Marc, a 1995 Paulino Bernabe CD/CSAR.
In addition to performing in a duet, Marc also recorded a solo piece, "Introduction and Variations on Gentil Housard, Op. 27" by Fernando Sor. In this video, you can hear Marc performing on a 2007 Pepe Romero CD/MP.
We've always enjoyed Marc's virtuosic playing. He is one of the very few artists to have ever recorded a full album at GSI. His GSI album titled "Valseana" was voted one of the Essential Acoustic Albums of 2011 by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. If you don't have this album in your collection, you can purchase it in our accessory section or listen to it online on one of the streaming platforms.
