Mario Aracama Builds a New Guitar for GSI in his Workshop in the Idyllic Alpujarra Mountains Near Granada.
Spanish luthier, Mario Aracama, is an artist who loves unique designs. Each guitar that we have seen coming from his workshop features a new design giving each instrument an original look. However, all of these guitars have one thing in common, they have a beautiful Spanish sound thanks to the traditional construction methods. Mario’s guitars have deep basses, velvety trebles and a great clarity among all voices with a lovely palette of timbral colors.
Mario has shared with us some sneak peek photos of his new GSI guitar. This time, he used spruce for the soundboard and a striking set of cocobolo rosewood for the back and sides. Currently, Mario is applying the final touches before varnishing. The guitar should be ready for shipment in a few weeks.
We’re looking forward to seeing this guitar in our showroom. Check out the sneak peek gallery below and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions regarding this instrument! If you’re curious about Mario’s building process, below the photos you’ll find a video which captures the construction of Mario’s previous GSI guitar (2020 Mario Aracama CD/CSAR).
