Moraito Dead At 55

The flamenco world lost one of the all-time guitar greats with the death this week of Moraito Chico, who died of cancer at the age of 55. In addition to influencing and inspiring a generation of guitarists and accompanying many of this generation’s great singers, Moraito was pretty much beloved by all who knew him. I’m still in shock that he’s gone. Here he is playing the sort of Buleria that made us all want to be him.
