D'Addario Artist Nino D'Amico Records On a Valerio Licari Guitar. Check out his videos!
Our collaboration with D'Addario Strings has brought us another set of great videos recorded on location. This time, we'll have a chance to hear Italian guitarist, Nino D'Amico, performing on the newest classical guitar built by Valerio Licari. In addition to the videos, we also have some photos taken from the recording session and from the process of building the guitar featured in the video.
Nino D’Amico was born in Naples in 1997. He began studying classical guitar at the age of 12 with his father, and then with Marco Caiazza preparing for entry to the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella in Naples, where he studied with Vincenzo Amabile. Nino has received many prizes and awards, including the EuroStrings Scholarship to participate in the International Guitar Festival Harmonia Cordis in Romania where he won the First Prize.
You'll find four videos below. Nino performed three pieces for us - "Una Limosna Por El Amor De Dios (El Ultimo Tremolo)" and "Prelude in C Minor" by Agustín Barrios Mangoré, and "A Fancy, (Fantasy P5)" by John Dowland. In the fourth video, you'll find Valerio Licari talking about the instrument used for the video shoot.
