D'Addario Artist, Pablo Menéndez, Records Videos On-Location in Seville, Spain
We've published four new videos recorded in collaboration with our friends from D'Addario! This time, our on-location video shoot took place in Seville, Spain, where we had a chance to record D'Addario artist, Pablo Menéndez performing on a 2023 Fernando Moreno SP/IN classical guitar which is coming soon to GSI!
Pablo Menéndez was born in 1992 in Asturias, Spain. He studied classical guitar with Marco Socías in San Sebastian and with Carlo Marchione at the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands. Pablo is a prize-winner of many national and international classical guitar competitions, such as the Concurso International ‘Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga’ in Bilbao, Spain, the Twents Gitaar Festival in the Netherlands, and the Gevelsberg Guitar Festival Competition in Germany.
Pablo recorded all three videos in less than one hour since there was a very limited time to record in this particular location. Below you'll find his performances of Joaquin Rodrigo's "Junto Al Generalife", Emilio Pujol's "Tango", and "Fantaisie uber motive aus der oper: Don Juan, Op. 28" by Johann Kaspar Mertz. In addition to the performance videos, we also recorded a short interview with the maker of the featured guitar, Fernando Moreno, who talked about the art of guitar building.
