Parisian Master Maker, Dominique Field, Builds A Guitar From Robert Bouchet's And Daniel Friederich's Wood Stocks.
French master luthier from Paris, Dominique Field, has almost finished building his next guitar for GSI. We’ve received some sneak peek photos from him. The instrument looks absolutely remarkable. The photos show the highest level of craftsmanship proving that he is one of the elite makers in the world right now. His French polish has almost a mirror-like quality to it, which is clearly visible in some of the photos.
In addition to the finest craftsmanship, this new guitar is also connected with the other legendary masters of the French School. The rosewood used for the back and sides comes from Robert Bouchet’s stock. The spruce top on the other hand, comes from Daniel Friederich’s stock. This spruce is from 1971 and was grown in the French Jura Mountains. Dominique acquired this stock of wood from Daniel Friederich when he retired in 2015.
We’re very happy to see so much history and mastery of the French school in this instrument. Check out the sneak peek photos below!
