Roma Expo Guitars 2026: A Look Back (Video & Photos)

GSI President David Collett spent last weekend in Rome attending this year’s Roma Expo Guitars—an inspiring gathering that brought together some of the most respected Italian luthiers alongside a new generation of emerging makers. Looking back, the event offered a vivid snapshot of the current state of Italian guitar making: deeply rooted in tradition, yet continuously evolving through fresh ideas and individual voices.

One of the highlights from the weekend is a newly released video featuring guitarist Edith Pageaud, who performed on all 30 guitars presented at the expo. The video captures not only the unique character of each instrument, but also the remarkable diversity and craftsmanship that defined this year’s exhibition.
