GSI President David Collett visited Rome last weekend for this year’s Roma Expo Guitars—one of the most engaging gatherings of today’s leading Italian luthiers. The event brought together established masters and emerging voices, offering a rare snapshot of where Italian guitar making stands right now: rooted in tradition, but very much alive and evolving.

Inspired by the event and the conversations happening around the instruments, we’re spotlighting 10 guitars currently in our stock—built both by Italian makers and by international luthiers who have chosen Italy as their creative home. Each instrument reflects a distinct approach, yet all share the refinement and attention to detail that define this scene.
