Ron Borczon & Bill Arey Classical Guitar Benefit Concert

On April 26, a special reunion concert brings together two distinguished artists with deep ties to the Aspen Music Festival—Ron Borczon and Bill Arey—for a performance benefiting the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
Ron and Bill's collaboration began in 1981 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, following a chance meeting after one of Ron's solo recitals. Discovering they were temporarily living across the street from one another, the two guitarists formed a duet that same summer. This reunion program reflects decades of musical partnership, bringing the two artists back together to share a repertoire shaped by their long-standing collaboration.
Ron Borczon holds degrees from Florida State University and the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and is Professor Emeritus of Music at California State University, Northridge, where he taught for 40 years. He continues to teach classical guitar at Moorpark College. Bill Arey earned his degree in Music Performance from Louisiana State University and remains active as a performer in the Baton Rouge area.
