Sergei Gudelev Performs Sergio Assad's "Parati"

We're thrilled to share a new performance from Russian guitarist Sergei Gudelev, a welcome and recurring presence here at GSI. This time he turns to Brazilian composer and guitarist Sergio Assad with a one-take live recording of "Parati."
"Parati" is the final movement of Assad's celebrated cycle Divertimentos, a fast-paced, rhythmically intricate piece built on complex accentuation and infectious energy.
Sergei recorded this on his main guitar, a 2015 Vladimir Druzhinin with a cedar top. Vladimir Druzhinin guitars have been featured at GSI for many years now, including in Sergei's Moscow-recorded duo videos with domra player Victoria Aretinskaya. Beyond this performance, Sergei is known for championing the Russian guitar repertoire.
If you like Vladimir Druzhinin guitars, we currently have one in stock: the 2026 Vladimir Druzhinin "Special No. 2" SP/AR
Give it a listen, and if you enjoy it, be sure to like, comment, and subscribe on Sergei's channel. You can follow him on Instagram
