Tomasz Zawierucha performs Albeniz, Chopin, Tansman and Rodrigo for the Omni On-Location Video Series.
The Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts has released a new video as part of their Omni On-Location video series. This time, the featured artist is Polish guitarist, Tomasz Zawierucha.
Zawierucha studied classical guitar with Thomas Müller-Pering and Monika Rost. During his student years, he received first prizes at esteemed international competitions including the Ville Antony competition in Paris and the Tokyo International Guitar Contest. His performances have been captured on radio recordings across Germany (MDR and WDR), Italy (RT), Poland (PR2), Japan (NHK), France, and Spain. His acclaimed CDs, including "Zawierucha plays Bach" (Classic Clips Germany), "The Twilight Zone" (DGF UK), and "Un tiempo fue Italica famosa" (GG Japan), have garnered praise from international critics featured in publications such as Soundboard, Classical Guitar Magazine, GuitarArt, The Times, and The Record Geijutsu.
Tomasz Zawierucha has been teaching at the Franz Liszt University of Music Weimar and the Vorarlberg State Conservatoire in Austria. He is also a Visiting Artist at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. In 2014 Tomasz Zawierucha was appointed professor of guitar at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany.

The video was recorded in the Chamber Music Hall of the Dortmund Orchestra Centre in Dortmund, Germany.
