Scheduled from May 22–30, 2025, this immersive program offers personalized instruction, collaborative opportunities, and a vibrant musical community.
Meet the Esteemed Guitar Faculty
- Scott Tennant: founding member of the GRAMMY®-winning L.A. Guitar Quartet, is a celebrated performer, recording artist, and author of Pumping Nylon. He chairs classical guitar studies at USC Thornton School of Music.
- TY Zhang: Grand Prize winner of the 2017 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition, TY Zhang has performed globally, recorded for Naxos, and recently won the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Competition. He serves as Classical Guitar Faculty at UC Irvine and is a Doctor of Musical Arts graduate from the University of Southern California.
- Connie Sheu: A dynamic guitarist and educator, Dr. Sheu has graced stages worldwide, including Carnegie Hall. She teaches at Pomona College and the Colburn School and performs with Duo Arroyo.
- Ashley M. Lucero: Ashley is a classical guitar and teacher from GSI. She specializes in classical and flamenco guitar, Ashley Lucero is both a performer and composer. A national prize winner, she teaches at the Baptist University of the Americas and is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at USC.
