"Vicente Arias 1833-1914: The Forgotten Luthier" Book Has Been Reviewed in American Lutherie Journal.

News

Vicente Arias was an exceptional nineteenth-century Spanish guitar maker known for the beauty of his rosettes, but his life and work are mostly unknown among classical guitarists. The first book dedicated to him, titled "Vicente Arias 1833-1914: The Forgotten Luthier", gives us a deeper look into various aspects of Arias' life, and answers questions such as who taught him woodworking, why did he start making guitars, what was his relationship with Francisco Tárrega, and much more!

Recently, this book has been reviewed by Kevin Aram in the 144th issue of American Lutherie Journal. You can access this book review, as well as all other articles, by purchasing the magazine on the offical website of Guild of American Luthiers.
