Vicente Arias was an exceptional nineteenth-century Spanish guitar maker known for the beauty of his rosettes, but his life and work are mostly unknown among classical guitarists. The first book dedicated to him, titled "Vicente Arias 1833-1914: The Forgotten Luthier", gives us a deeper look into various aspects of Arias' life, and answers questions such as who taught him woodworking, why did he start making guitars, what was his relationship with Francisco Tárrega, and much more!
