This model is from the well-known and respected luthier Wataru Tsuji, working out of the Asturias workshop in Japan. It is a unique take on the iconic (ex. Segovia) 1937 Hauser I guitar in that the soundboard is made out of spruce supplied by Hermann Hauser III. So not only is it built structurally as the original but it includes materials provided by the grandson of the original instrument! It is stamped internally to this effect and is a limited edition model - this may be the only one of these that we secure for GSI. In addition to the beautiful design of this historical instrument, it has been executed in this tribute with perfect fit and finish, and high quality materials in addition to the aforementioned soundboard. The one area where Tsuji took artistic license is in the rosette which has striking colors with various shades of burgundy and red that are unlike the original but absolutely beautiful. And indeed in the sound can be heard qualities of the Hauser I sound - very refined and clean, with great focus and separation. The action is set very comfortably and helps make this an overall very enjoyable guitar for player and audience alike.
