Tobias Berg builds a Bouchet tribute guitar for GSI!

Swedish-born, German-based luthier Tobias Berg has just completed another stunning guitar for GSI. Tobias is not only an exceptional luthier, but also a long-time friend whose instruments we’ve proudly represented for over 20 years.

This latest instrument, number 154, is Tobias’s tribute to Robert Bouchet. As we’ve often noted, Tobias’s work is defined by a bold and distinctive aesthetic—the headshape, rosette, and bridge reflect his admiration for traditional Japanese architecture, particularly its understated elegance, clean lines, and sharp edges. He integrates these influences seamlessly into a design that is entirely his own.

Tobias has been recently featured in one of our on-location video shoots with D'Addario, as well as in an article by Sjöbergs - one of the major Swedish manufacturers of workbenches and other wooden products.
