Coming Soon: A New Guitar from Eduardo Bossa
We have a new instrument on the horizon from Colombian luthier Eduardo Bossa, whose work continues to draw international attention — He won the second prize at the seventh Antonio Marín Montero Guitar Making Competition in Granada.
The guitar is still in the building process, but one signature element we can already highlight is Bossa’s distinctive rosette style. Inspired by the traditional woven crafts of the Zenú Indigenous culture of Colombia’s Caribbean region, his rosettes echo black-and-white geometric patterns created by skilled artisans. They bring a cultural depth to the instrument while maintaining a clean, elegant aesthetic. The materials used are impressive as well. For this guitar, Eduardo chose cedar for the top and a striking set of ovangkol for the back and sides.
We’ve included a few sneak-peek photos below—just enough to get a sense of the craftsmanship and detail that define his work. More information will follow as soon as the guitar arrives. Stay tuned.
