Roma Expo Guitars is Back with Its 2021 Edition!

This year on July 10th, Chitarra In Association will be hosting the VIII edition of Roma Expo Guitars in Rome, Italy. Roma Expo Guitars is an annual event organized with the aim of promoting Italian guitar-making to the rest of the world. This edition will follow a hybrid model with both, in-person and online events.

The event will start at 10 AM GMT+2. At 2 PM, the participants will have a chance to see Polittico liutario, a collective work that is supposed to underline the values of friendship, brotherhood, and collaboration that inspire Roma Expo Guitars. In this project, the REG guitar makers will interpret their work in the form of a small painting. Following completion, each painting will be placed in a unique frame creating a polyptych, and thus creating a collective work of art.

After Polittico liutario, the participants will have a chance to listen to the live performance of “Natura naturans – Inno al divenire del mondo” performed and composed by Marco De Biasi. This piece commissioned by REG as part of the “New Music for REG” project.

This performance will be followed by a series of guitar tests conducted by guitarist, Carlotta Dalia. The tests, as well as the above-mentioned events, are included in the entrance pass for 15€.

These events will be also available online in a form of a webinar. For more information please visit www.romaexpoguitars.com.

It’s not the end of surprises. For anyone who can’t be there in person, the organizers have also prepared an extensive playlist with Luthier Profiles” that showcase guitars, their luthiers, and will include sample performances by the great Italian guitarist, Andrea de Vitis, followed by interviews with guitar makers. You can check out all available “Luthier Profiles” below.
