Srdjan Bulat Records Works by Fumić, Dowland, Regondi, Albéniz, and More!
We're pleased to share five new videos featuring Croatian guitarist Srdjan Bulat who recorded a diverse selection of works on GSI guitars.
In the first video, Srdjan performs Slavko Fumić’s Nocturno on a 2023 Dake Traphagen guitar. Fumić, a talented Croatian composer and guitarist from Zagreb, was active in the early 20th century. His life was tragically cut short during World War II.
Next, you can hear Srdjan performing John Dowland’s A Fancy, P.5 on a 2014 Garrett Lee guitar. This Renaissance work sounds beautiful on a classical guitar. Srdjan recorded it with a capo on the second fret.
Srdjan also recorded Giulio Regondi’s Étude No. 8. The instrument featured in this video is a 2024 Edmund Blöchinger "Dome" guitar. This Romantic-era étude is highly lyrical, showcasing the guitar’s rich tonal palette.
If you like contemporary music, you'll also enjoy Srdjan's original dodecaphonic composition titled "Dodecaphonic Meditation". In this video, you can hear Srdjan performing on a beautiful 1960 Ignacio Fleta guitar.
In the final video, we can hear Srdjan performing Isaac Albéniz’s Mallorca (Barcarola, Op. 202). He recorded this video on a 2006 Luigi Locatto guitar, previously owned by Gianvito Pulzone.
