View more PHOTOS of Our Next Guitar by Carlos Juan Busquiel

On its way to the showroom is this gorgeous classical guitar built by Carlos Juan Busquiel out of his workshop in Petrer, Spain. It features “Bocote” wood for the back and sides, which as you’ll see from the photos, is absolutely gorgeous with very unique patterning in the grains. Bocote is a species of Cordia found most-typically in Central and South America and related to Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra), which is typically found in Mexico and Central and South America – see an example of this on Stephen Hill’s 2018 model.
We can’t wait to hear Carlos Juan Busquiel’s next guitar for GSI, and we’ll make sure to share its music-making ability with you once we play it! We’re sure it’ll be as great as his previous instruments, but for now, let’s admire these photos while we wait.
