Marc Dickinson is a luthier from Ardmore, Oklahoma. He has been building guitars, mainly part-time, for nearly 20 years. We first met him about 10 years ago, when he was still a part-time maker. In 2019, Marc finally settled into a full-time workshop where he has since been able to devote himself wholly to the building of classical guitars. We are extremely impressed with his most recent instruments.
Marc has multiple advanced degrees in science, including an M.Sc. from the Colorado School of Mines, and a Ph.D. in Physics from Texas Christian University. His strong scientific background, and particularly his interests in astrophysics and astrophotography, have a great influence on his aesthetic designs. "Cosmic" influences are visible in his headstocks, purflings, labels, and particularly in his rosettes which are inspired by one of his photographs of a great globular cluster known as Messier 13.
We're proud to exclusively represent Marc Dickinson's guitars.
