The label reads "Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) para casa de Arcangel Fernandez". This instrument was made by "Marcelino" (son of Marcelo Barbero Sr.) in the workshop of Arcangel Fernandez, who was himself a disciple of Marcelo Barbero Sr. It has a wonderful, dark sound with bold basses and strong trebles and lightning-quick response, likely from the ultra-lightweight build. It sounds like a mid-60's Miguel Rodriguez blanca (but at considerably lower price). It has the raspy, open and vibrant sound of a great mid-century flamenco but can also sing with great warmth and lyricism if caressed. Condition is excellent! No cracks, no repairs - amazing for a guitar of this age. Original finish throughout with only very minor playing wear. This is a great example an instrument built in one of the most famous flamenco workshops in Spanish guitar making history.
