The label reads "Marcelo Barbero (Hijo) para casa de Arcangel Fernandez". In 1967, "Marcelino" Barbero (son of the great Marcelo Barbero) was in his early 20s. This instrument was made by Marcelino in the workshop of Arcangel Fernandez, who was himself a disciple of Marcelo Barbero. It has a wonderful, dark sound with bold basses and strong trebles. It sounds like an old spruce top Miguel Rodriguez (at considerably lower price). It has the raspy, open vibrant sound of a great mid-century flamenco while retaining the warmth and lyrical beauty of a great classical. Condition is excellent with original finish throughout. This is a great example an instrument built in one of the most famous workshops in Spanish guitar making history.
