Jose Oribe began making guitars in 1962, who along with Manuel Velazquez, makes him one of North America's veteran builders of the past half century. Oribe is famous for his fine materials as a quick glance at this instrument will attest. This instrument is built in a style that is often compared to the finest Madrid-style instruments (Ramirez, Contreras, Bernabe, etc.) in its tonal and structural characteristics. It has a big, deep and rich tone with great volume, making this a particularly strong instrument for live performance. This has been one of Angel Romero's concert instruments for many years, as the wear in the finish attests. Apart from finish wear the guitar has no structural issues - no cracks or repairs and is in concert-ready condition. It has a big, powerful, robust sound with thick trebles and deep basses. Huge sound, easy playability and it has had a great player break it in!
