Description

An extraordinary traditional flamenco from Antonio Raya Pardo, the late Granada master. Made to exemplify the Granada style – light, responsive and full of gypsy eco, a smaller body guitar with a very big voice. Excellent, fast playability and very fun to play, like taking a little Ferrari for a spin. Very sound condition with some play wear, but no cracks. Beautiful wood selection including a nicely figured CSA rosewood bridge. Smooth turning Schaller GrandTune tuning machines. A great buy.

Background

Although born in Jaen, luthier Antonio Raya Pardo has lived in Granada since childhood, and until his unfortunate recent passing, was one of the most important names in the Granada school of guitar making. After establishing his own workshop in the early 1970s, he went on to become a prolific maker. With nearly 600 guitars under his belt, Raya Pardo was certainly one of the more experienced luthiers of his time.
