Description
This guitar, made in 1995 by the great Granada-based builder Paco Santiago Marin (nephew of Antonio Marin), is a fantastic classical. Perhaps among the most powerful of the Granada instruments, these also have a very elegant, lyrical voice, and yet at the same time, it has a very rich and thick quality of tone across all registers - very impressive especially since it's a spruce top. It's also lightweight for its size, and has a huge bite at the attack of every note. Apart from some dings and playing wear in the finish, there are two hairlines crack on the back which have been well-repaired - the smaller with glue only, the larger with spruce cleats. Materials are stunning and craftsmanship is to this makers' usual high standard. This is a great instrument to both eye and ear by one of the most respected Spanish builders alive today.Orfeo Magazine #8 - The Granada School
