Description
Considered to be one of the best makers in northern Europe, Aram has made guitars for some of the most prominent players in the world including Julian Bream. His guitars, particulary from this period, are influenced by the work of Torres, Hauser and Romanillos. The sound is delicate and refined, with great balance and projection. The lightweight build gives it a very "punchy", yet smooth attack. There is something very musical about these instruments which reveals itself in every note - the trebles are very lyrical and the basses have a nice silky texture. The sound is also very warm and loose, like a played-in, older Spanish guitar. It is also beautifully made - materials on this example are gorgeous with very dramatic rosewood and a well-selected and aged spruce top with generous amounts of bearclaw. Tuners are Rodgers. Condition is excellent - practically mint, virtually like new.
