2021 Alhambra “Mengual y Margarit NT” CD/IN

The Alhambra Mengual y Margarit Serie NT Classical Guitar is their top concert instrument. It's tone is full and rich with plenty of power and projection for any concert setting. It is built in a very small workshop that is its own independent operation from the rest of the Alhambra facility. In this workshop, luthiers Javier Mengual and José Margarít build this guitar from start to finish with the utmost care and artistry. The soundboard of the Mengual y Margarit Serie NT classical guitar is thinner than standard and French-polished, giving it very powerful volume and superb projection. It features a modified Torres-style bracing, which gives it a warm, traditional quality of sound and being a cedar top, it has additional overtone content to give each note more fullness. It has thicker sides and back than standard (3mm vs 2mm), forcing the volume to remain on the top, improving both volume and sustain. This guitar also features Alhambra's ErgoNeck. The ErgoNeck is the result of continuous research by Alhambra to improve the ergonomics of the neck. Although a used guitar, it is in excellent condition with only some aesthetic blemishes in the finish from regular use.
