Description

Lucas Martin makes guitars based on the design of his father’s (Bernd Martin) guitars, which have been developed and perfected over more than 40 years, and he is fortunate to have access to woods that have been carefully selected and aged over the course of decades - and in the case of this guitar, it features a particularly stunning set of maple with dramatic and flamed grain patterns (also with rare sap elements) for the back and sides - selected for this special milestone guitar, his 100th to date. Attention to detail is first-class, the fit and finish is among the best in our inventory. Although he has worked for many years with his father in the same shop, his guitars do have a character of their own - the headstock is slightly different in shape, the mosaic and inlays are similar but not exactly the same, and they possess a quality and character of sound that are also distinct. They are a perfect example of what the Granada guitar style is all about - easy to play, light, lyrical and traditional. We are proud to be offering these fine concert instruments, and can highly recommend them to anyone seeking the finest from the Granada school.
