Description

Santos Hernández is undoubtedly Spain’s most creative and most important guitar luthier from the first half of the twentieth century.

It was Santos who in 1912, while working as a foreman at Manuel Ramírez’s workshop, built the famous guitar that would travel the world with Andrés Segovia for years to come. Santos’ instruments were also adopted by other great guitarists of his day, like Regino Sainz de la Maza, Luise Walker, Sabicas, Ramón Montoya, Niño Ricardo, Celedonio Romero, Abel Carlevaro…

Through his loving hands, the beautiful sound attained by Antonio de Torres was brought into the twentieth century.
