30 Legendary Guitars Arrive at GSI

David Collett and John Paul recently flew across the country, loaded 30 extraordinary guitars into a van, and drove them back across many state lines to our Santa Monica showroom. Every instrument arrived safely, and we couldn’t be more excited to share them with you.

The collection spans nearly the entire history of the classical guitar. It includes instruments by Antonio de Torres, Hermann Hauser I, Santos Hernández and Domingo Esteso, along with a guitar by Moya, the only luthier Torres ever taught. You’ll also find work by Vicente Arias, Enrique García, Francisco Simplicio, a remarkable Daniel Friederich, several Manuel Rodríguez guitars and even a Dominique Field.

We’ll unveil these instruments one by one in the coming weeks, and some will be offered on our brand new GSI Premium Auctions site, launching soon. We haven’t been this excited about a collection since the Russell Cleveland Collection came to us in 2015.
