Gerardo Centonze Builds His Deluxe Model for GSI

Italian luthier Gerardo Centonze is currently building his third guitar for GSI. It's going to be his deluxe model—built with a cedar soundboard and a stunning set of African rosewood for the back and sides.

Gerardo's work continues to reflect his deep appreciation for traditional Spanish guitar-making, which informs much of his structural and tonal approach. This new guitar is designed to showcase not only his finest materials but also the most refined level of craftsmanship he offers.

We first met Gerardo at the 6th Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building Competition in 2023 in Granada, Spain, where he earned third prize—an impressive achievement in a highly competitive field. His work was also featured in our on-location video series with D’Addario, where he introduced his previous guitar built for our shop.
