Omni On-Location: Alberto Mesirca Performs Regondi In a Renaissance Italian Villa!
The Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts has released another gorgeous video recorded on location. This special video was recorded in celebration of Giulio Regondi's 200th birthday (1822-1872).
In the video, Italian guitarist Alberto Mesirca plays Regondi's "Introduzione e Capriccio, Op. 23". This performance was captured in an absolutely gorgeous 16th-century Villa Roberti in Brugine, Italy. Alberto plays here on a David Rubio guitar. David "Jose" Rubio is well-known for the classical guitars he built for Julian Bream in the 1960s and for his "Brahms" model played by Paul Galbraith. We actually have one guitar by this maker in our stock - a 1967 "Jose" David Rubio "Blanca" w/pegs SP/CY.
