Tobias Berg And His Newest Guitar Built for GSI
Swedish-born, German-based guitar maker, Tobias Berg, has finished building another beautiful instrument for GSI. This time, it's a spruce-top guitar with East Indian rosewood back and sides.
The building process of this guitar has been well-documented by Tobias on his recently created Instagram account. The sound of his guitars is as elegant as their appearance. The aesthetic details feature unique and bold designs with the influences of traditional Japanese architecture, particularly visible in the head shape, rosette, and bridge.
Tobias built this guitar with double sides using a method that he has been perfecting for some time now. The double-sides give his guitars a deeper, "cathedral-like" presence to the sound.
Tobias has been recently featured in one of our on-location video shoots with D'Addario, as well as in an article by Sjöbergs - one of the major Swedish manufacturers of workbenches and other wooden products.
