No relation to Miguel Rodriguez of Cordoba. This maker is well known for his work with the Jose Ramirez workshop in the early 1950s before establishing his own workshop in Madrid. He also worked for several years in Los Angeles (where this guitar was made) before ultimately returning to Spain. His name is now well-known from a successful line of factory-made instruments created by his son. This particular instrument has a very well aged spruce top and beautiful Spanish cypress. The sound is deep and dark. It has great "kick" - big flamenco punch and bite, with snappy and very fast attack. The neck is very slim, perfect for anyone with a small hand. This is an excellent old-world, traditional flamenco guitar by any standard.
