Description

This instrument was originally owned by Grammy-winning film composer Mark Mancina, who generously donated it to our non-profit charitable organization, the GSI Foundation. Guitar sales through the GSI Foundation raise money to directly benefit music education in public schools. Mark played this guitar for many years, including his college years when he spent one academic year as the personal assistant to composer-in-residence Aaron Copland! Apart from its interesting history, it is also a lovely vintage student/entry-level classical guitar in excellent condition for its age, with only one crack in the top, recently repaired by GV Rubio with no finish work done. It plays and sounds great and could be easily used for recitals and masterclasses, just as Mark Mancina used it several decades ago.
