The late Gerundino Fernandez (1931-2006), is considered by many to be one of the best flamenco builders of the latter half of the twentieth century, along with Arcangel Fernandez and Manuel Reyes. His guitars have been played by many top players, most notably Paco Pena, Paco del Gastor, Tomatito, Juan Martin and even Eric Clapton. Gerundino lived and built in the city of Almeria: birthplace and home of Antonio de Torres and the modern Spanish guitar.
This example from 1997 is a incredible players and collectors guitar alike. It is amazingly lightweight with fast action and an aggressive, responsive tone. It is bright and loud, with a serious flamenco growl. The guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. Overall, a tremendous Gerundino for the serious guitarist, one that easily justifies his reputation as one of history's greatest flamenco guitar makers.
A hardshell case is included with this guitar.
