Giovanni Tacchi, son of the well-known master luthier Andrea Tacchi has in recent years been taking up the craft of lutherie himself. Several years ago we were able to see his first instrument, built entirely by himself that was more-or-less a bench copy of a fantastic Daniel Friederich guitar that he had borrowed and studied extensively. Since then, he has experimented with the design, adding elements of his own, and this has resulted in his own personalized model, which we now have here. Structurally it is quite similar to Friederich and sound-wise as well - it has a deep, resonant and thick quality of tone across all registers, and as we've said about Friederich's guitars - there is also an almost "reverb-like" quality that is produced by the box, giving the guitar a huge, cathedral-like presence. Although used, it is in excellent condition with barely any signs of prior use. Overall it's a tremendous guitar in every regard and we are thrilled to have it.
