Description

Francisco Navarro Garcia is one of Mexico's finest luthiers. In 1989 he won first place in a National competition that is held annually in Paracho, Mexico, and his reputation has grown steadily since then.

This is a traditional guitar with Torres/Hauser style bracing (7 symmetrical fans and bridge patch). It's lightly built and delivers a strong, powerful and immediate sound - it is very nimble with sensitive dynamic range and a wide variety of tonal colors. Materials are well-selected and the instrument has a French-polished top (for best tonal quality) and lacquered back and sides (for improved durability) making this an excellent workhorse guitar for the active musician. It is fitted with an armrest and we must admit that of the dozens of his guitars that we've sold over the years, we've never seen such a beautifully designed and ornate guitar - the rosette features a unique and spectacular design, and the "chain-link" motif found in its inner and outer outer layers is also used for the top purfling - absolutely beautiful. Although used, it's in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs, and only some minor wear in the finish. Overall a very lively guitar - super fun and very easy to play - one of those guitars that's just very hard to put down!
