Description

Oscar Trezzini started as a guitar maker in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982, under the tutelage of luthiers Pedro Malossetti and Héctor Curto. His early efforts produced a dazzling variety of different guitar types before he gradually refined his techniques and settled on the classical model, which he now builds exclusively. After relocating to Europe, Trezzini has benefitted from the advice of his friend and mentor Dominique Field, as he seeks to continually improve and refine his style and sound. This particular instrument features some beautiful aesthetics including the highly refined rosette (it almost requires the use of magnifying glass to truly appreciate). This is his double-top model, built while living in Geneva, Switzerland - he currently lives on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The sound is of course quite powerful - but also has excellent clarity, with a very focused, deep natural tone. Although the soundboard is spruce, it is has a harmonically-rich texture that gives it a very intriguing, mysterious quality. Overall, a top-level concert and recording instrument for the discriminating performer. Condition is excellent with only minor wear and a small tap plate has been added to treble side.
