Wesley Park plays 1969 Marcelino Lopez

Live Performances

As many of you are aware, we’re big fans of the Park Brothers here at GSI. Alex and Wesley have been coming into the showroom and blowing us away for just about as long as we can remember. Most recently they joined us for our incredible night of performers at the “Scott Tennant & Friends” celebration where they treated our audience to a set of beautiful traditional works (videos coming soon!)

Today, we have a great solo performance from Wesley playing an absolute classic – Erik Satie’s “Gymnopedie #1” – on a lovely 1969 Marcelino Lopez. Originally written for piano, this piece requires an instrument that can effectively sustain the long melodic line, and this guitar is perfect for that!

You may have heard we recently lost Marcelino Lopez just this last year. Thankfully his legacy and contributions to the guitar live on through wonderful instruments like this one. Learn more about Marcelino and this particular guitar by clicking here.
