Description

This is a fantastic Hauser II, built in 1976. We believe his guitars of this period to be a synthesis of his sturdier/stiffer designs of the 60’s combined with the sleeker, more slender body shape of his earlier work done alongside his father, Hauser I. This style is very distinctly "Hauser II", and many of his best guitars were built at this time. Playability is easy, due to the slender and very comfortable neck shape. Condition is excellent with no cracks or repairs. The top was refinished in shellac, beautifully done very carefully without sanding the wood, leaving the darkened patina of the aged spruce perfectly intact. The Hauser dynasty, now spanning 5 generations, have produced instruments played by countless concert artists including Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, the Romeros and many others This is a great sounding and playing Hauser II, and a dream for either collector or performer.
