Description

This is a cedar-topped flamenco blanca from the famous Paulino Bernabe workshop in Madrid. It features extremely fine and aged materials, and has a simple yet elegant design with a rosette of conentric rings, reminiscent of many early Madrid guitars from the early 20th century. The guitar is in otherwise excellent condition with 3 well-repaired, small cracks in the top (invisible from the outside) and two tiny cracks in the back (also repaired) at the extreme edges of the lower bout. The guitar has been refinished in French polish for the top and lacquer for the back and sides, giving it a new-ish, fresh look with only some minor, superficial blemishes in the finish. These details have been taken into consideration for the price. It has a huge sound, but in addition to the enormous volume, it has the rasp and grit of a true flamenco. Tuners are old-school wooden pegs for the traditionalist. A very lively and exciting flamenco from one of the most respected workshops in Spain.
