Over the past 50 years, Robert Ruck became one of the most recognized names in the USA and had a very prolific career, having built over a thousand instruments before his passing in 2018. Perhaps the most famous of his output was the 1970's guitar owned by Manuel Barrueco which was used on nearly all of his classic recordings. This is a superb guitar in all respects. It has very a firm, solid tone, which feels deeply anchored to the fundamental of each pitch while the hum of the higher partials adds a beautiful, silky texture to the body of the sound. Volume is surprisingly loud, this guitar could fill a large concert hall with minimal effort from the player. Playability is a breeze with a very comfortably shaped, easy neck. It has two soundports in the sides on either side of the neck and condition is excellent with only very modest signs of prior use. Overall a fantastic instrument - perhaps one of the best we've heard - a classic Ruck all-around.
