Description

Daryl built this incredibly accurate and beautiful copy of a satinwood Simplicio in 2007. Great attention was paid to all details including the carved head veneer and intricate detailing in the rosette and purflings. The appearance is matched by the sound, which is lush, warm and loose. Materials are beautiful, with a dark, aged spruce top, and an incredible set of figured satinwood for the back and sides. Although used, it is in excellent condition with only some modest wear in the finish. As usual, Perry's craftsmanship is clean and perfectly executed, making this an elegant tribute to one of history's most iconic builders.
